Alexander Graham Bell Tour

Book Now

Leaving, Sydney Metropolitan area, we travel to the peaceful Cape Breton countryside away from the hustle and bustle of city traffic. Along the way we’ll cross the little Bras d’ Or where you will see many small pleasure boats on the glistening lake. The Bras d’ Or Lakes are Canada's inland sea, used by thousands of boaters each year, being a safe haven for boaters as the surrounding hills offer protection from the nearby Atlantic Ocean.

Kelly's Mountain

We’ll climb Kelly’s Mountain where we stop for two stunning look-offs, the Bras d ‘ Or and Saint Ann’s Bay.

Baddeck

Touring along the Trans Canada Highway we proceed to the Village of Baddeck, the community where Alexander Graham Bell maintained his summer home. You will have ample time to stroll through this quaint little village, including its “downtown” and the beautiful waterfront and harbour. We will have a brief tour of the grounds of the National Historic Alexander Graham Bell Museum. As an option we can include a one hour +/- visit to the museum: Alexander Graham Bell was much more than the inventor of the telephone, he was a true Renaissance man. We will then retrace our route driving back to Sydney, where we will provide for those who wish an opportunity to shop in the downtown area, it is a short walk to the cruise ship dock.

This Excursion will take about 6 hours +/- is includes time for lunch (on own) and is fully narrated.
